Day 1:
I’ve decided to try this really cool idea I heard about from another writer during Fiyah Lit Mag’s #voicesonfiyah chat: create a story bank for submissions during NaNoWriMo. To that end, I’ve selected four stories to write, one story a week (or for seven days) until the end of NaNoWriMo. It’s not exactly in keeping with NaNoWriMo rules I think, but I’ve given myself wiggle room to push for 50,000. Stories as follows:
1. “Puella Ex Machina”
2. “Velda”
3. “Caribbean Dragon Racing”
4. “Great Dinosaur Farm Bill”
I have most of the summary of the first and some writing completed as well but I was thinking I could start fresh. Estimated word count is 30-35,000 words which means 5,000 words a day, double my usual word count. Onward, to victory.
